A vicar has been using blockbuster films in the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter series to teach teaching children about the meaning of Easter. The Rev Robin Spittle, 46, of All Saints Church, Kesgrave, Suffolk, has taken classes at Kesgrave high school. He said: “The themes of sacrifice, loyalty and temptation within the films are useful illustrations of the Easter message.” He is also organising classes on Christian themes in The Simpsons.
