See a show

Apuleius’s The Golden Ass, a blockbuster from the second century AD, is now a riotous new comedy by Peter Oswald. The Shakespeare’s Globe production, with Mark Rylance as hero-turned-donkey Lucius, was one of The TES’s hot tickets over the summer: “Mixes music hall, circus and pantomime with a beautifully sung mini-opera in the middle” (TES, August 23). Now the Globe is offering readers two tickets for the price of 1 for shows on the following dates: September 21 (7.30pm), 22 (1pm), 26 (7.30pm), 28 (2pm) and 29 (4pm). Tickets cost from pound;5 to pound;27, subject to availability. To be in on the action, call 020 7401 9919 and quote Treats offer.

Give your class a break

Tell us in 50 words or fewer why you think your class is the best ever (Are they working hard? Do they make you laugh?) and you could win a box of KitKats for your pupils - then they’ll think you’re great too (for a while, anyway). We have a box of 48 KitKats to give away every week this term, so tell us why your kids deserve them. The most convincing answer wins. For the KitKat offer email friday@tes.co.uk by September 19.*

Take the biscuit

Fancy some biscuits for your staffroom, department or school office? Pool your brain power to answer our quiz (think biscuit for one of the five answers) and you could win two classy tins of organic Duchy Originals.

3. Who wrote The Graduate?

4. The single largest selling biscuit in the world is an Indian brand called?

5. What was the original name of Oxfam?

For Take the Biscuit email: friday@tes.co.uk by September 19.* The first set of correct answers out of the hat will take the biscuits - supplied by Duchy Originals. Teaching materials about organic food and farming are at www.duchyoriginals.com.
