The death of Surrey schoolgirl Rianna Davenport who was crushed to death by a falling pine tree was a tragedy that was not preventable or predictable, a coroner has said. The eight-year-old suffered horrific injuries when she was trapped beneath a 50ft Corsican pine that toppled into the playground of West Ashtead primary in Ashtead in January. The inquest jury at Staines coroner's court returned a verdict of accidental death.
