Woodland soundscape

Visit the magical forest that has sprung up on the ballroom floor of the Royal Festival Hall on London’s South Bank in honour of Peter and the Wolf. Wander through the jungly ways listening on headphones to a variety of sounds created by Year 6 students from Edmund Waller primary school, in the London borough of Lewisham . These are the result of their work with composer Duncan Chapman and six postgraduate musicians who performed on instruments used by Prokofiev to characterise Peter and the animals. Live performances of Peter and the Wolf and storytelling sessions are planned for the forest in March. Information: 020 7921 0953; www.rfh.org.ukprokofiev50.
