Make music at Coma (Contemporary Music-making for Amateurs) Summer School 2003 (July 26-August 2), in the grounds of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Bretton Hall, near Wakefield. Students, teachers and musical practitioners at all levels will find something to engage them.

Art surprises

The National Art Collections Fund is running a scheme to encourage people to look freshly at art by placing it in unexpected contexts. Look out for Rachel Whiteread’s Untitled (Pair) in Ely cathedral, David Mach’s Portrait of the Artist’s Brother among the pressed trousers at Sketchley’s dry cleaners, Salford, and Marcus Taylor’s Untitled (Quadruple Fridge) in Selfridges, London. Join the RAF
