A new computer package to help teachers keep track of school funds is being launched in Scotland by Scotsys, which claims to be the leading Apple Macintosh supplier to schools. The programme has been designed to run on IBM machines as well.
The School Fund Manager has been developed in trials at two primary and two secondary schools and records sums for everything from school trips to tuck shops. The package, which costs from Pounds 200 to Pounds 250, records all money received through school offices and breaks it down into the relevant bank accounts and funds.
An income and expenditure report shows at a glance whether projects are running at a profit or loss.
