Tutor spreads dance fever

If you want to see further education putting its best foot forward these days, all you have to do is switch on the telly.

An example being the BBC's Strictly Dance Fever. According to a colleague of mine - who says she is "forced to watch it" - this is a popular televisual spectacle.

And among the experts who have coached couples taking part in the programme is none other than Lewisham college's very own Isabel Baquero, a dance tutor who has been working for the programme.

"I am really pleased Isabel did the coaching - the dancers all loved her and her teaching, and it gave them a much needed lift," says Sam Donnelly, the show's producer.
