A debate among TES followers about pushy parents revealed passionate views on the issue. Some teachers shared horror stories, while others insisted that they prefer parents to be proactive rather than passive about their child's education.

New parent not happy her child wasn't "settling" after a week. Told me she pays my wages and therefore I should do more #pushyparent@lauren_lsm

The best way to deal with #PushyParents is to get them onside and be proactive, seek them out over all the "little" things. Build trust.@CillaGeo
