An old exam paper once used by the English private school Eton College to test the abilities of boys hoping to gain a scholarship was unearthed last week. The test asked applicants to imagine that they were prime minister, a task not beyond the realms of possibility given that 19 old Etonians have lived at No 10. Candidates were also asked to decipher and write a made-up language called Jangli.

The instructions tired me out ...

It's fair to say that pupils passing this deserve credit.

@davidebaines

Cannot believe I've just wasted 10 minutes of my life trying to decipher Jangli ... what a pointless exercise.

@carleyjoanne

I bet Boris (Johnson, mayor of London) answered the entire paper in Jangli.
