The first episode of Tough Young Teachers aired last week on BBC Three. The documentary series follows a group of Teach First recruits tentatively taking their formative steps in the profession. Teachers found that the show made for nostalgic, inspiring and uncomfortable viewing.

Finally catching up with #toughyoungteachers. Pretty excruciating remembering how hard that first year is. God, I learned so much. Missing it.

There are some awful children around!

What a joke. You want to inspire young people, then you need to be able to relate.

So incredibly excited for September having watched #ToughYoungTeachers. Bring it on!

@EASprecher

#ToughYoungTeachers isn’t a great advert for @TeachFirst. All six teachers feel unprepared and deliver uninspiring lessons.
