THREE cheers for Carole Clayson (Friday magazine, March 17). I read the feature with a huge sense of joy and relief that someone has the courage to tell David Blunkett where he is going wrong.
Poor Mr B is continuing in his predecessors’ footsteps - but making deeper tracks. I would add to M Clayson’s grievances that the primary national curriculum is, in parts, inappropriate. For example, eight-year-olds should be growing beans, not learning about photosynthesis - which even scientists do not fully understand.
