Unfair reflection of Down’s pupil’s experience

The caption under my son’s picture “League tables excluded results of Down’s pupil”, (TES, May 9) does not represent the view I expressed.

To be fair to St Anselm’s RCP school, I wish it to be known that the governors’ decision to accept Christopher was unanimous.

It was later made clear to us that it was not an option for Christopher to stay on for a year in Year 6. Whatever my disagreement with the school might have been, Christopher has benefited from inclusive education.

Andrew Diedo

Editor: We apologise to Mr Diedo and St Anselm’s school for the mistake in this caption.
