Unions moot national action

Teachers in England plan to ratchet up their opposition to academies and free schools with co-ordinated strikes in a bid to protect national deals on pay and conditions. Delegates at both the NUT and NASUWT annual conferences said they would consider balloting members over national action for the first time as the Government presses ahead with its reforms.
