Unison call for public enquiry

* Unison, the largest public sector union, has called for a public inquiry into "conflicts of interest" among accountancy firms involved in PFI deals. The unions said that accountants were acting as both auditors and advisers on projects - a situation criticised in recent US corporate scandals such as Enron.
