It's the international day of love. Whether you turn into a mushy, love-sick puppy or just try to ignore the day altogether, on 14 February, it is impossible to escape the heart-shaped doughnuts, over-sized teddy bears and bunches of red roses.
The world education is no different – some teachers have been offering their best edu-chat up lines (we've collected the best of the bunch here), and others have been sharing what they love most about the colleges they work at.
Valentine's Day: Education's best chat-up lines
The sector is going through significant change – and although it has no shortage of fans, quick to rave about all the magic of FE, it's uplifting to see staff paying tribute to their leaders, learners and employer partnerships.
Spreading the love in FE
So, what do you love most about the world of FE?
What I love most @Hadlow_College, @westkentcollege & @ashford_college are the amazing team of staff that have made sure our learners have been completely unaffected by the serious challenges faced by the Colleges. Each one of them deserves all the love in the world.— Graham (@G_R_Morley) February 14, 2020
The dedication of all staff who go above and beyond to support students to achieve and exceed; our commitment to and involvement with the local community and employers; and our subject specialist teachers who ooze passion for their specialism and sector @Leyton6thForm @LSC_ELW— Early Years at LSC #FE #VocEd #EYFS 🙋♀️ (@eyce_lsc) February 14, 2020

I love that colleagues whatever their job role listen and put each other at the heart of conversations both @Andovercollege and @Sparsholt_Coll would not still be here after 18 years if had not thought so— Helen Perry (@helen_hlr) February 14, 2020
