Victorian working times

Newport City Council and the National Museums and Galleries of Wales have produced a new site, "Children of the Revolution", where pupils can find out what it was like to be part of an industrial workforce in the middle of the 19th-century. There are tasks relating to work, homes, education and the growth of the community and after these have been completed pupils are asked to make a presentation to Queen Victoria, informing her of their findings. A video library is also available, as well as links to other websites and a teacher's notes page.
