The festival exhibition complements the conference by offering educational products and services supporting many of the seminar themes and topics. A wide range of resources from 150 different suppliers will be on display.

At the heart of the exhibition will be the Scottish Education Village, where resources will be launched and delegates can participate in a non-stop programme of teacher and pupil-led demonstrations.

Home to Learning and Teaching Scotland, the Scottish Executive Schools Group, SQA and HM Inspectors, the village is also the place to learn more about the work of these key educational organisations.

The Scottish Arts Council has no fewer than six stands at the exhibition, each with a different focus, including dance, youth music, literature, theatre and visual arts.

New exhibitors include the Blackwell Festival Bookshop, featuring titles from speakers at the conference, as well as fiction, non-fiction, Scottish books, continuing professional development titles and graphic novels (Stand F10). Another first-time visitor is NASEN, which promotes the education, training and development of everyone with special and additional support needs (Stand B52).

For new perspectives on personal and social education, Virtual Babies and The Bump, a unique pregnancy simulator, can be found at Life Choice (Stand E42).

Walkodile is an innovative child safety walker invented by Scottish teacher Elaine Stephen. See it in action at Stand C45.

The International Development Education Association of Scotland (IDEAS) is a network of over 40 organisations involved in education for global citizenship (Stand E40).

ICT products and resources will be on display from both small, specialist suppliers and majors companies like Apple, Promethean, Qwizdom, Smart Technologies and Dell.

There will be more publishers than before, including Scholastic, The Great Little Book Company, Cambridge University Press, Leckie Leckie, Oxford University Press, Nelson Thornes and Harcourt.
