November 25 is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The focus of this year’s White Ribbon campaign is sexual bullying, and Womankind Worldwide is organising an event with Beatbullying asking academics, young people and policy-makers to draw up a charter which schools and youth groups can sign, aiming to tackle this behaviour. In the UK Schools part of the site, teachers can order a free CD-Rom with PSHE and citizenship lessons for Years 9 and 10, looking at relationships and challenging gender-based violence. Teachers can also swap ideas and experiences about activities they’re running and students can download resources so they can get involved.
