A STUDY in Sweden of all babies born by IVF from 1982 to 1995 found they were five times more likely to be born prematurely and had a higher risk of malformations leading to an increase in deaths. The report recommended that only two IVF embryos should be transplanted to reduce the risk of multiple births.
