To encourage a wider world view, 4Learning (Channel 4‘s education arm) has created three World of Difference Awards, each worth pound;10,000, to spend on a project that will improve the lives of people in a community outside the UK. The bids should “challenge people in the UK to reflect on their own lives and society, encouraging them to see how they can be more active global citizens”. The project is aimed at the 14-19 age group, working in teams of up to six with a teacher, youth worker or someone with experience in development education.
