* Pain in the throat as you speak or swallow * A sore throat in the mornings, which disappears as your voice warms up * A hoarse or tired-sounding voice in the evenings * An increase in mucus, particularly if the mucus is not discoloured * Rapidly-changing pitch or apparent loss of vocal control.
