Vouchers for private schools

PARENTS with children in failing state schools would be given a pound;2,500 voucher to send them to private school instead, under plans unveiled today by the free-market Adam Smith Institute. “Delivering Better Education,” by James Tooley and colleagues at Newcastle university, also proposes cash grants to help parents set up new schools and a pound;500 tax credit to middle-income families who choose private education.
