Wales struggles to fill desks

MORE than one-quarter of the desks stand empty in one in five primary schools and one in 10 secondary schools in Wales due to declining birth rates, the Audit Commission has reported. In total, 15 per cent of places in primary schools and 11 per cent of places in secondaries went unfilled.
