You might not even have to leave your desk to go down to the woods today.

The National Forest is a new forest under development, bringing together 200 square miles of woodlands in the Midlands. And there’s also an online National Forest to go with it. This has been set up so “You can witness and enjoy its physical creation and be involved in its development as part of the nation’s future heritage”, but you can glimpse its potential in useful reference material for key stage 4 for cross-curricular environment, conservation and environment work. If there’s nothing for you yet, remember that it’s work in progress.
