Warning over 'toxic' class divide

Schools in the UK are segregated along class lines, creating a "toxic" effect for the poor, the leader of the ATL education union said last week. This was set to worsen as government "austerity policies" pushed more children into poverty, Dr Mary Bousted warned the union's annual conference.
