A transgender student has given schools and teachers advice on steps they can take to help transgender pupils.

Felix Barber, a 16-year-old who identifies as a transgender male, came out at the age of 14 after knowing that he was a boy inside since the age of 4.

He is now in year 12 at Felixstowe Academy sixth form in Suffolk, and last year set up an LGBTQ+ group.

At this week’s International Festival of Learning at West Suffolk College he gave teachers a presentation on what they can do to help transgender pupils.
