Since education is Gordon Brown`s “passion” and he is committed to “change”, perhaps now would be a good time to have his educationists devise a secondary education system to fit the 21st century. By Year 9, most pupils have had enough of half the curriculum areas that have never interested them and in which they do not succeed. Yet “options” do not stop time being wasted in non productive study of superfluous subjects. Shed them. Let students pursue what they`re good at.
