The new De@fchild international site at www.deafchild.org aims to create opportunities for deaf and hearing children around the world to communicate with each other using information and communications technology. It also hosts an international directory of deaf schools, deaf role models and a video conferencing directory. The initiative is organised by the Deaf@x Trust and Cable and Wireless with support from Childnet International.
4 Special, which is eing launched on September 1, will identify specific placement opportunities nationwide in independent and non-maintained special schools. Schools will be included free until the end of the year.
