THE seven teachers’ unions in Wales will today call for schools funding to be protected. The demand comes amid fears that Welsh schools will not see the same extra cash grant - pound;50,000 for each secondary and pound;10,000 for each primary the Chancellor recently gave their English counterparts. While English schools will get the cash directly from Whitehall, extra funds for Welsh schools will go to the Welsh Assembly, raising the possibility it may not pass the money on to them.
