Army recruiters are targeting schools in poorer parts of Wales in the wake of the Iraq war, the Welsh national party Plaid Cymru has claimed. The party said it had obtained figures showing that the Army was more likely to visit schools in deprived areas.

An MoD spokesman said: “The Army visits schools on a specific invitation-only basis.”
