The learning community around Wester Hailes Education Centre has been praised by inspectors for the excellent impact it has on young people. The HMIE report, published this week, says young people benefit from an outstanding range of well- planned and appropriately targeted activities, and highly-skilled and committed staff have a very positive impact on them through highly effective youth work. The youngsters achieve a range of accredited awards, and projects such as the ADHD support group engage them in activities that are safe, stimulating and inclusive. Participants in the Attendance Group have successfully re-engaged in school.
