School PPP contractors HBG have been put in something of a quandary in the west of Scotland: the company has been renamed BAM.
The dilemma is that workwear for jannies would have to bear these initials which, in Glasgow parlance, denotes one of rather less than full intelligence, as in “ya bam”. Or, as in the anti-bullying plea well known to pastoral care staff, “miss, he wiz bamming me up”.
A BAM nuisance, really.
