This is what pupils really want

I just want to say that children don’t hate school. That’s not the message we were trying to give out at The Gathering “Me and My School”. The message we are trying to give is that at school we don’t want favouritism and we want to have places to go and chill out.

Children want to be able to have colourful schools; what we don’t want is bullying (that includes children and teachers) in school, because what we want is a happy and cheery school where you can have fun but learn at the same time.

Cassey, aged 11, Member of the Children’s Parliament.
