BBC stand PV52 Following the success of GCSE Bitesize Revision, the BBC is launching key stage 3 Bitesize Revision and ReviseWise for key stage 2 using the same combination of TV, audio, books, CD-Roms and the Internet to prepare for tests. The Words and Pictures Alphabet Rhymes Big Book, for key stage 1, comes with teachers’ notes for shared reading and writing. The Find Out About big books are full of colour photographs and pictures on science topics.
CUP stand PV120 Cambridge Reading’s new sight word strand for four to six-year-olds includes new fiction and non-fiction. Phonics for Reading provides a flipover book, children’s books and teachers’ guides.
Carel Press stand PV352 The Shorter Shakespeare series (Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and Twelfth Night) links a shortened version of the plays in the original language with a modern chorus. The teachers’ resource book suggests many practical activities for different ability levels.
Collins stands PV221250 Collins is offering free demo disks of Rapid Maths and savings of more than pound;80 on Starter Packs for Years 1 and 2, free demo disks previewing all six plays in the BBC Shakespeare on CD-Rom series and discounts on bilingual and English dictionaries.
Evans Brothers stand PV140 David Orme’s Literacy Line-Up for key stage 2 covers a range of genres and books. Evans will be offering discounts on this series as well as Annie Owen’s Number Resources and The Chain Gang.
Folens stand PV290 The Folens Handwriting Programme links handwriting with spelling. Poetry Works for key stage 2 features 80 illustrated posters, pupil books and teacher guides. Folens will also be launching three new professional development packs for foreign language teachers.

John Murray stand PV260 New editions of Tout droit! and Droit au but! are the first books for the new A and AS-level specifications. Science teachers will find new physics and chemistry titles and also look out for Peter Riley’s Physics Now!, winner of The TES science schoolbook award 2000.
