Lancashire athlete Chris Greenhalgh is one of 70,000 disabled young people in the UK requiring mobility aids to help them live a normal life. Chris is supported by Whizzkids, the national children’s charity that provides tailor-made wheelchairs, tricycles and walking frames for disabled children. Chris plays basketball nd tennis and has a specialist chair for basketball.

“When I started secondary school they got me playing a bit of tennis and it went on from there,” he says. “My chair has given me far more independence and has increased my sports ability no end, especially my speed.”
