Spending more time with their mothers as babies has no impact on people’s educational success, a study claims. Christian Dustmann and Uta Schonberg, both of University College London, found that although maternity leave in Germany rose from two months to 36 over 13 years, this had no effect on the number of children graduating from university or their earnings.
