Willis streaks into 15-point lead in TES poll

With only four voting days to go, Phil Willis has swept past Tim Brighouse, Ted Wragg and even Estelle Morris to establish a clear 15-point lead in the TES ManWoman of the Year online poll.

Though hardly a rank outsider, the Lib Dem education spokesman spent the first three weeks of the poll well down the table, level with Sir William Stubbs. His sudden elevation has provoked uncharitable speculation about furious online activity in the Cowley Street area.

No such upsets in the Villains league, with Chris Woodhead now enjoying a comfortable 60 vote lead over Tony Blair.

The poll closes at noon, Tuesday, December 17. Results will be published in next week’s TES . Vote at: www.tes.co.uktoppeople
