Using a mix of documentary and recreated scenes, it tells the story of a group of nomadic herdsmen whose way of life is gradually being eroded.
During the camels' birthing season, all goes well until the final delivery, when the mother rejects her new calf and refuses to feed it. Two young children are sent on a mission to fetch a musician whose magical rituals are the last hope of reuniting mother and calf, and saving the young camel's life.
