Reap the benefits of renewed energy

Go green, create a buzz in the classroom and turn wind and sunlight into energy. We have five fun, interactive, easy-to-use renewable energy kits, each worth pound;189, for you to win.

They each contain a wind turbine, solar water heater and photovoltaic kit.

The equipment, which was designed in conjunction with The National Energy Foundation, an educational charity, can be used to inspire children from five to 16 years old, helping to give them a hands-on learning experience and insight into renewable energy.

The 70cm-high wind turbine kits can be used outdoors in the wind or indoors with a desk fan. Each one comes with lesson plans and student worksheets covering key stages 1 to 4 and includes education for sustainable development activities across the curriculum.

For more information or to place an order, contact EcoStyle on 0870 432 7897 or visit www.ecostyle.co.uk. For a chance to win, email treats@tes.co.uk or write (postcards only) to Treats, The TES Magazine, Admiral House, 66-68 East Smithfield, London E1W 1BX, marking your entry “Turbine”.

The first five entries picked out will be the winners. By sending us your name and address, you agree to The TES sending you this prize. The TES will not use your personal details for any other future communications. The closing date for entries is January 18.

Congratulations to the winners of the Skip2bfit kitbag and coaching. They are: Margaret Nowell from Blackburn, Lancashire; Sean O’Reilly from Leiston, Suffolk; and Philippa Godman from Coventry, West Midlands.

There’s still a chance to turn those unwanted Christmas gifts into cash. If you are a teacher and want to sell something, advertise it here for free.

Just email details to buyitsellit@tes.co.uk.
