Catherine Wheels Theatre Company director Gill Robertson and writer Nicola McCartney won the 2002 Barclays Award for the best show for children and young people with Lifeboat, the incredible story of how, in 1940, two 15-year-old girls clung to an upturned lifeboat for 19 hours in the Atlantic after their evacuee ship was torpedoed. Incidentally, they are still alive, and firm friends.
Ms Robertson’s award-winning company tours their story until November. Call 07957 154615 for details.
