Counting stitches in different times tables.

Subtracting stitches when scaling down, for example, when knitting a sleeve or ribbing.

Using different coloured wools to create geometric shapes such as squares and diamonds.

Using teddy bears or dolls to measure for a pattern.

English through knitting

Reading, deciphering and following knitting patterns.

Maths through darts

Counting numbers in sequence.

Multiplying and dividing by two and three to calculate the value of doubles and trebles.

Mentally subtracting new score from previous score.

Needing to hit an odd number, if existing score is odd, to be able to finish with a double.

Working out combinations of ways to win by finishing with a double.
