Creators of a reading scheme that emphasises word recognition through physical action claim that key stage 2 and three children can learn an average of 15 new words in just one week, using the Look, Do, Say technique.

The Action Words teachers’ manual is available for KS1 amp; 2. It teaches high frequency words by encouraging children to read for the purpose of understanding and decision making.

The scheme comprises manuals, posters and reward stickers which can be incorporated in reading and spelling activities for shared, groups or individuals. stand EY34
