HUNDREDS of schoolchildren and teachers have bonded in a record-breaking group hug to raise money for a children’s charity.

The 482 cuddlers from Thomas’s preparatory school in Clapham, south London - made up of 437 pupils aged between four and 11 and 45 staff - grabbd a partner and enjoyed a 15-minute embrace, putting them into the Guinness Book of World Records.

Independent witnesses ensured that everyone performed their hugs correctly. The school broke the previous record, set by 462 children in Canada two years ago.
