McDonald’s Restaurants has provided Pounds 100 cash for each of the 10 junior finalists and the money to fund a writer’s residency at winners’ schools, as well as tickets for a matinee at Shakespeare’s Globe. The judging of entries by pupils aged seven to 11 will be organised by the National Association for the Teaching of English.
