I AM NOT surprised that pupils want to continue to learn about classical history in their primary schools (TES, July 23). The sad part of the story is that, although pupils may then wish to take Latin or Greek when they reach key stage 3, the requirements of the national curriculum for a modern foreign language make this difficult.
