X-rated lessons

I would like to know why my bright, bubbly 13-year-old daughter no longer enjoys geography - “All we do is watch videos about super-volcanoes and the teacher says the world will blow up soon.” Or history - “All we do is watch videos about people starving and eating each other in Leningrad.” Or religious studies - “All we do is talk about abortion and massacres.” My daughter should not be confronted with so much horror at that age. There will be plenty of time to learn about such things later. Meanwhile, how many other pupils are being exposed to what should be X-rated viewing at school?
