Dr Neil Duncan’s research has discovered that “in any school with female pupils, there was usually a social hierachy in which popular girls held influence over their peers” (“Inside cruel world of girl bullies”, February 13). I would like to suggest a research project into how much time and taxpayers’ money has been devoted to finding out what Basil Fawlty called “the bleedin’ obvious”.
