Teachers are being urged to give their verdict on plans to overhaul school inspections by 2010. Estyn, the Welsh inspectorate, wants more feedback from schools on the proposals that will cut notice of inspections to three weeks; mean greater involvement of pupils and parents; and see the emergence of peer inspectors - experienced heads working alongside HMI inspectors. The consultation period ends on April 7. To give your response, log on to: www.estyn.gov.uk.
