Patrick Hazlewood, head of St John’s school, Marlborough, has had a lesson in the dangers of email. Mary Kelly, 62, sent one to the school’s bursar complaining that pupils had climbed over hergarden fence.
It was forwarded to Mr Hazlewood whose reply,intended for the bursar, went to Mrs Kelly. It said: “Tell her to get stuffed.” She has forgiven him.
