Many students have mobile phones and/or tablets with camera. These devices can be used for data logging. I have given one example that can be very easily done. The plastic pockets are readily available. Students may use other absorbing materials and compare the rate of absorption coefficients of differen materials. Other programmes can be used to measure other quantities such as magnetic field, components of acceleration due to gravity etc.
